The Qwerty Monster - Samsung Corby Txt
The Corby series has definitely brought Samsung back into the mobile market competition
. Of course, Samsung did have some earlier successes like the Samsung E250, which made it the darling of the young adults and college going market. Keeping the success of the Samsung E250, which was at that time one of the few phones that provided a slider style with a full Multimedia player, and the ebbing demand for the Corby brand, and sneaking a peak at the QWERTY market, it launched the Samsung Corby TXT.
The Samsung Corby TXT, as the name suggests is a phone that caters towards those who wish a QWERTY cell phone, for their texting and browsing needs. Of course, every phone that has a QWERTY keyboard has to consider the aspects like size, width etc, but Samsung Corby TXT had a slim enough body for the market to give it a warm welcome. The Samsung Corby TXT is similar to its predecessor in the family, the Samsung Corby, when it comes to features and form factor. In fact, the only difference that two models have is the QWERTY and the touch screen respectively.
Of course, the Samsung Corby TXT is more usable for people who are still not used to the touch screen functionality. And when it comes to accessing the Internet or typing address bars and such using the QWERTY, that experience is definitely a winner over the experience one might garner from a touch screen phone. Also, the Samsung Corby TXT brought to the table the now famous changeable back covers - something that made the original Corby so famous. Also, this phone was armed with all the general phone features that one might find today, like the Multimedia player, a 2 MP camera, and internet connectivity via GPRS. The phone does not have 3G connectivity.
All in all, the Corby TXT is a great phone for the price that it is available. In fact, there are few big brand phones that offer the features like a QWERTY phone at this price range. There are other features like the 3.5mm audio jack, which makes the connection quite sturdy. This is just one of the few phones that Samsung has tasted success with. There are several other Samsung phones that provided its users with all the features and services that they would wish for.
