? What makes the activity of playing so interesting to little tykes? There are many questions about toys that we should find the answer to if we wish to understand the mental development of our children.

First of all, all parents know for small children virtually every object they have in sight can be used as a toy. They are able to play with anything they can get their hands on. They will rip a sheet of paper into a thousand small pieces (hopefully not one of grandpa's papers he needs for work) and then throw them into the air, and observe them go down to the floor like snow. They will use two magnets they got from the fridge door to strive to glue them together, seeing that the two magnets seem to try to keep a distance between them.God forbid they discover some paint around the house, because if they do, you'll have to spend a fortune to redecorate. The kids are not to blame for this, because they actually discover important facts about the world they are living in by playing.

The fact that toddlers have little knowledge about life and the environment that is all around them combined with the normal human curiosity makes them wish to experiment as much as they can. They have bright imaginations and that's why for them it's easy to transform any object they see into a toy and play with it. Occasionally they get bored with their new toy very soon, other times they "fall in love" with one or more toys for many years.

In order to satisfy their curiosity and have them discover and see new stuff constantly, a parent has quite a few options, and educational toys are among the best of these options. Educational toys come in a large variety these days, and they are not only for playing, but they also can guide kids how to behave, they tell them about colors, shapes, numbers and letters, and so on.

This is why educational toys are so popular among families from all over America: kids are offered tons of new information from the early years, and they still laugh, sing and play. And best of all is the fact that being subjects of this "informational siege" is not something to worry about, because at their age their brain is like a hungry Pac-man, they can devour huge amounts of information. Not only it does not bother them, they even love it!

So by all means, satisfy your child's craving for knowledge with educational toys, and you won't be sorry!
