The Samsung UE55C9000 will be coming out very soon

. These will have the ability to broadcast in three dimensions. Much like the big budget movies that are making so much money these days, these televisions hope to give that theater experience to folks at home.

The big difference with these televisions is the images will be broadcast using a system that is able to really pop out at the viewer. These might be the big thing in television in the next couple of years. There is a chance that they will not make it, as so many other new television technologies are fraught with problems when they first come out.

Using the back lighting ability of LED TV's, the picture is very sharp. When you can watch your favorite shows with the added bonus that the pictures coming out from the screen, nothing is ever likely to be the same. Movies will have a whole new feel when they can be watched in three dimensions, because they will seem ever more lifelike. This is great for people that have forgotten how great it was to watch television before they'd gotten so used to being able to see images broadcasts from space directly into their living rooms.

The costs of the sets are likely to be a bit high in the beginning. This is something that happens with all new technologies. Those that are well off enough to afford them in the beginning are going to be the ones that are going to determine if they have the staying power to last till the technology is a little cheaper so that more people can afford it. At first they will seem strange and like something out of science fiction, but the technology is very real and something that we might all experience at some point in our lives.

No one knows how big the market will be for 3D TV's. They are a new technology and each new technology can have a few glitches in the beginning that can make or break them. With the costs high, if they don't perform up to expectations then they may not be able to make many inroads in an already competitive television market.

Those that are old enough to remember the Beta versus VHS war that raged for the top spot on the home video market when it first came up. VHS ultimately won because they put together a better market themselves. The battle for the home video market boiled down to simple PR. They came out on top, even though some people believed that Beta had better picture quality as well as sound quality.

More recently, you might remember, was the battle between Blue-Ray and HD-DVD. This battle has seemed to go to Blue-Ray, who is now consistently out performing their competition on sales. This one had less to do with marketing and more to do with getting installed in already popular items, like the Sony Playstation. By incorporating Blue-ray technology into something people were already planning on purchasing, they were able to take over.

No one knows if the Samsung UE55C9000 is going to be the one TV to break through and take down the 3D television market. Some people have said that it could do it, but there are a lot of other televisions that are trying to get the 3D technology working as well.
