. With microSD card technology it is still able to offer up to 16 gigabytes of storage for music, photos, videos and more.
The phone has a 5 megapixel camera for photo capture and video recording. The camera has a flash and auto focus when taking still pictures and a video light when recording video. Both media also have geotagging which provides location based information on where the image or video was taken.
The X10 Mini features the Sony Ericsson Music Player which sorts tracks and supports album artwork for easier browsing through music to listen to. MP3 and AAC audio files are also supported as full music ringtones for the phone. TrackID meanwhile offers a simple method of finding unknown music as tracks to add. With only a few seconds of recording music through the Sound Recorder, TrackID can tell the user what the track is. Playback can be through either the 3.5mm headphone connection or Bluetooth A2DP wireless stereo profile.
The phone offers a four corner home screen with customisable icons in each, and auto rotation when the user rotates the handset itself. Images can also be set as the picture wallpaper. The display is a compact TFT touch screen with on-screen input and predictive input when compiling text messages.
Other messaging services include emailing to and from the phone on the move, inlacing Exchange ActiveSync for corporate (work) email accounts. Picture messaging and instant messaging functionality is also available. Social networking is made possible with the Twitter and Facebook integrated applications, along with Timescape from Sony Ericsson for easy social messaging and contact.
The handset has impressive location based and navigation features, through its aGPS internal antenna the phone is able to offer such software as Wisepilot for turn by turn navigation as well as Google Maps for directions and route planning.
Connectivity is offered through a microUSB connection with USB support for seamless synchronisation with any compatible computer and USB mass storage for mass uploading to a computer of data on the phone memory. For wireless file sharing Bluetooth is also present.
