The Trends In Women's Clothes For 2010
Like most previous years, fashion experts are suggesting that 2010 will bring back a lot of the older styles that were once popular
. Some of these trends may not seem so appealing at first, but eventually you will see them being worn up and down the high street because women's clothing trends are continually evolving. Some trends in women's clothing last but mere seconds in the fashion world and other trends make monumental history; only you can choose which trends suit your body shape, personality and individual style.
Surprising for many to hear, shoulder pads are expected to come back in fashion this year. Originally a big hit for women's clothing in the 1970s and 1980s because they give the effect that you look taller and well defined, the return of this trend would look proportionate on average height or tall women, but on short women they can make them look squat and thick, so it is not highly recommended across the board.
Chain embellished t-shirts are going to be trendy over the next few months, with even formal wear starting to appear with long punk-style chains of the 1970s. Some chains are attached to the clothing permanently, whilst others are removable and black chains can give a really retro yet fashionable and feminine look when teamed with white t-shirts and blouses.
This spring you should expect to see a lot of mint green and coral combinations, offered in everything from shoes, women's clothing, makeup and other accessories and they look especially attractive on women with olive skin. In addition, peaches and pink coloured clothing will be available to suit women with lighter skin tones and nude colours are also going to be in fashion, but remember to be careful to not look washed out and drab.
One more trend that is making a comeback is fringes, ruffles and layers, which are being adding to tights, tops, skirts and various other types of womens clothing. Particularly fashionable during the 1980s, it seems like it may actually be a hit with certain types of clothing. It is quite a different look and has the effect of looking terrible on one person and great on another, so be sure to get someone elses perspective on clothing like this or you risk fall into the former category. Then, based on your combined opinions, you can decide whether you want to purchase this type of clothing for your wardrobe.
Finally, double denim is the latest fashion trend in France and should cross the Channel to be a trend in the UK by the end of 2010. Basically, you wear a denim top and denim bottoms to pull off the double denim look, opting for denim jeans, shorts, skirts or even overalls to wear below, whilst for tops you could wear a denim shirt or simply a coloured t-shirt with a denim jacket. Experimentation is the key with this trend and by mixing and matching, you can see which combination looks best for the double denim look for you.
