Upon unpacking the Sportsman lantern, I was definitely surprised at how sturdy it felt. Another must have option I really like is the ability to adjust power usage. The "High" mode provides me with plenty of visibility when I am out and about with my friends enjoying the backcountry.

I am very impressed with the battery life of the Sportsman lantern. Rayovac promises around seventy to 150 hours of battery life, and on this point, totally delivers. I am so impressed by the value of this lantern that I ordered a few more for emergency lights around the house.

It also has a tiny green blinking light that always stays on, so you know exactly where it is!. When pitch black,you won't have to fumble around ,and Guess where to find it . This is an ideal light for the elderly person who might need something very bright,and very simple to operate,and being durable plastic,it's no big deal if it gets knocked around a bit.
