The whole structure of our life is founded on belief and disbelief in God and the Last Day. Our human structure is made in such a way to concord with this prupose. We have a mind to think, a heart to feel and eyes to see. We live in our body and are subject to its needs. No one can release himself from such needs otherwise death takes over and we exist no more. Our being in this world is based on our interaction and needs with the universe, with ourselves and with others.
We are obliged to live, grow up, age and then sent to dust. No one asks us our opinion. No one demands our consent. It is like this, you enter from one door and you spent sometime, very short compared with that of the stars and planets and galaxies, then you have to exit. Whether you like it or not, you pass through the vicissitudes of life and undergo the process of ageing.
The wall of death is inevitable. All are enigmas, our life, our presence, our origin, our meaning, ourselves, the universe and the life cycle that everything is pushed through.
We are given the mind to think and we are made to confront the universe in which we live. All is made out of atoms. No one knows where these atoms came from, by what power, what is the secret of these atoms, its energy, and myriads of characteristics. No one knows how its works and lesser still who put it there. But we are, nevertheless, atoms floating in space and time. Everything is a mere dimension in place and time, whatever time or space is.
Having said that. We are confronted, and everyone of us, with the concept of a creator-cause: God. We have the mind to think and sense, we are given a span of life, short but enough to make up our minds whether to believe in God or not, acknowledge His existence or not, worship God or not.
We are given enough time to work out our way between good and evil, two tendencies found in the human nature and every one of us is made to struggle against one tendency or the other.
Our life has one directionality, a struggle betweentow paradoxical opposites found in every soul.
It is entirely up to you to decide which way to go, good or bad, belief or disbelief.
But, one thing can be so comforting namely the mercy of the Providence who made you and the universe you live in. The mercy of God is boundless but you have to make your proof for it. You have to work for it. If you disbelieve and deny God then how can you expect mercy of the power that put your atoms together?
Man earns what he sows. Man harvests only what he plants and work for. Believe in God and do good works, acknowledge God and be grateful then God who made you what you are would not forget you and would have mercy on you. But, forget God and deny Him then He would forget you and deny you!
If you return to God and acknowledge Him as your Lord and maker, and repent for your mistakes then God is merciful and forgiving. But if you insist on denying Him and persist in your mistakes then you do not merit His mercy!
Every single person of us feels and knows, and naturally so, the difference between good and evil, and hence everyone has his own responsibility.
