Do I really need an image? The first big question that you need to ask is, "Do I really need an image?" This is a big question indeed. While you might think that you are required nowadays to add some kind of image or logo in your business cards, you are actually mistaken about it. You really do not need an image in your business card unless it is really needed. You don't have to force yourself to create your own logo, or to add your image or other photograph in your business card. If images are not really part of your theme for business card printing, you will not really need them.

Many designers just add different kinds of images and things into their design "just for the fun of it". While this is good creative-wise, it is not really effective for business card printing. It is better to always use an image that adds value and extra information in your business card. If your business card image lets you explain your professional image better and it gives extra information to readers, then those images does add value to the design. However, if you are stuck with images that are just for fun, it might be best to just remove it in the design since it is of no value or consequence.

Does the image match my theme and layout? Finally of course, try to always ask if your images match your chosen team or layout. While your chosen images might look great, and your designs are flawless, they sometimes won't necessarily match. So try to be sure if you can actually use your image for your chosen design theme. Sometimes you will need to sacrifice one or the other to get an image that is just right for brochure printing. That is why it is best to analyze your image properly so that you can determine if they match your theme or not.
