2. Make sure its compact in order to carry your golf bag and accessories along with your golf caddy, most electric golf caddies weigh 25 lbs and then theres your battery it will weigh another 25 lbs.

3. Make certain the drive motors are strong enough to with stand all the weight. Altogether your caddy, accessories and bag you can top out over 65lbs. So you want to make certain you can get 18 holes in. Some course's have a lot of terrain and you'll need a good battery, I prefer gel batteries and they can withstand multiple chargings.

4. You also need to pay close attention to the tires on electric golf caddies. The have pneumatic tires and solid rubber, both are fine but some solid rubber tires can slip on the wheels when they get wet. This usually happen on two piece wheels.

5. Make certain if you choose a remote controlled caddy that you have forward, reverse, right, left and stop function on your remote, also make sure your remote has a time out provision, this allows the cart to stop running automatically if and doesn't receive a command in 15, 20, or 30 seconds.
