I've been living in a house for rent in Ho Chi Minh City (also called hcmc or hcm city) with my brother for three years. I remembered the time when we were searching for rental house in this city. It took us quite some time to finally find a good place to settle. Now, I'd like to share my thoughts on finding a house for rent in Ho Chi Minh City (also called hcmc or hcm city).

There are a lots of places for rent in HCM City but it's up to you to decide which one you want. You may prefer the center of Ho Chi Minh City (we call these Districts 1, 3, 4, etc.) or you might prefer the more peaceful and residential neighbourhoods of Ho Chi Minh City (Districts 2 and 7 for example).

It's all about location when choosing your house for rent in Ho Chi Minh City

The center of the city, district 1 and 3, has a lot of nice places: malls, parks, bookstores, banks, offices, ect. If you want to rent a house there, you will have to accept to live in a small house. Because those districts are cramped with buildings. Besides, people here travel in the streets in every hour of the day so it would be very noisy unless you manage to find to a house for rent in Ho Chi Minh City (also called hcmc or hcm city) in a rare quiet street of the city's center area. If you move further to other districts, you will have to go quite a distance when going to work. But there will be bigger houses for rent available in these area. Me and my brother chose this option because we wanted to live in a quiet neighborhood.

There is a big plus if you choose to live in a house for rent in hcmc (also called Ho Chi Minh City or hcm city) in other districts that are far from the center of HCMC. In suburban neighborhood areas, the atmosphere will be more quiet. Those places were specially built by corporations in the city's expansion plan in order to provide a clean, modern living environment. So there will be no need to place yourself in the crowded center of HCMC. Along with villas built for rent, they also built many big malls, supermarkets, schools and parks, ect. so you don't have to go a long way to other districts to find those places where your future house for rent in Ho Chi Minh City (also called hcmc or hcm city) might be.

And of course, if you choose to live in a city of Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City (also called hcmc or hcm city), you may need to have a motorbike for transportation. You can have cars but it will take more time when travelling in the city.
