There is no actual employer, as one who does this is considered self employed. It allows a lot of flexibility in that one can choose to work as little or as much as they choose. It also allows one to have much more time with family and loved ones, unlike an outside job where you would have to commute day to day. There's many obvious benefits to these jobs, not only can one save on gas, a stay at home mom or dad can also save on child care costs as well. These are two bills that can get quite high for the average person and it would be nice to be able to cut those costs for anyone.

Unfortunately, data entry has gotten a bad rap in recent years, due to so many scammers getting involved. It has become a problem of common criminals creating fake, copy cat websites and posing as real employers in order to collect admission fees. That's why it's always critical to do your research on a company of interest. There's simple ways to verify a company and avoid these scam artists. The problem is most people jump into the first program they see without lifting a finger to check them out. This is how you get yourself into trouble. Finding a company that's on the up and up and is a professional in this field, is not easy to do. It can be much like finding a needle in a haystack.

There are a few simple and easy ways to make sure this doesn't happen. Unless you were referred by someone you trust, you should always run a Google search on the company to check and see if they have any prior complaints of fraud. There is also the BBB as well. Another common practice of these scammers is they try to get payment through email. always make sure the email address matches the actual domain name and that they're not using a free email address such as yahoo or Gmail. This should be a red flag if they do. If you just educate yourself on scams and how to avoid them, you can be that much closer to finding your dream job in data entry.
