Home owners often spend a great deal of money decorating their home to create a certain atmosphere. Good lighting can be used to complement and complete the effect you are creating in certain rooms.

Wall lights are popular and can raise a room's illumination level in seconds, but be careful not to fix them too high as this often creates a glare. Wall washers, are lights designed to light the wall and ceiling creating a dramatic effect.

There are a wide range of designer lights on the market which can be used to decorate your home, one of the most stunning lighting options for a living room is a chandelier.

You can choose between crystal chandeliers, which often have glass droplets hanging from the arms of the light or beaded and shell chandeliers, which are similar to crystal chandeliers but use beads or shells instead of crystals. Metal chandeliers are also on the market and offer a more simple design with the arms leading to lights that are often left bare.

A chandelier can really change the ambiance of a room, depending on its colour, shape and style and there are a wide range of styles which cater to the decor of any home.
