A stunning house is sometimes seen from its color. It means that painting is a fundamental factor to create a good-looking house. Make sure that you choose the right color and have good technique for painting. Actually you can do it by yourself as it is not difficult to paint walls. Also, painting can be fun and build togetherness when you do the activity with your family in leisure time.

What you need to prepare is interior paints, paintbrushes, primers, paint rollers, ladder, and paint roller pans. Remember, the first thing you have to do is choosing the paint colors. Before you start painting, make sure that you have selected the most appropriate colors. If you have had the equipment, prepare the walls you want to paint, including the ceiling. Check the walls and ceiling to find whether there are any stains or spots on them or not. If you find any stains that are difficult to remove, you had better use a stain-blocking primer since paint is not enough to cover the stains.

Use smaller paintbrushes to paint the corners. You can choose 2-inch or 3-inch ones. You can use those brushes to paint the areas around doors and windows and the areas where the wall meets the ceiling. Don't use any rollers to paint these areas. Next, you had better plan on three-layered (coat) painting. You can use primers for the first coat and finish for two coats.

After you have done with the plan on painting technique and equipment preparation, you may start painting. Make sure that you paint the ceiling first before the walls. If you paint the walls first before the ceiling, you may stain the already-painted walls with the wet paint on the ceiling. This is such a wasting time and energy.

Pour the paint to the roller pans in a small amount. Don't pour them all into the pans to keep them wet. Now you may start rolling. You had better roll the paint from dry areas. If you done with that, you can move on to the wet areas. As you can not finish painting all areas of your house only in one or two days, you had better cover the paint buckets when they are not in use. It is meant to keep them from dry.
