. They would assume that tire assembly is a long and complicated process. Nevertheless it is really a simple process that anyone can do. All you need is the right machine and tools to do the job. Tire assembly is a really simple process as long as you know the basic framework of a tire. Every tire is made with tread, side walls, and a bead. The tread and side wall will differ from each tire manufacture. The most crucial feature on the tire is the bead. The bead is what positions the tire on to the wheel, to seal the air. If the bead is damaged in any way the tire is no longer good and is considered a dead tire.

After understanding the framework of a tire and how it works. We can know talk about how to disassemble and assemble a tire. So first lets start with how to assemble the tire to the wheel. The machine were pertaining to is the Hunter TCX500EBP which is shown in the image above. First step in assembling the tire is to set and clamp the wheel on to the machine clamps. Next we need to lubricate the beads. This is really important because, doing this will help prevent any damages to bead, and will help in setting the bead on to the wheel. After doing this set the tire vertically at about a forty five degree angle, on the edge of the wheel. Then using the swing arm provided on the machine. Set the duck head that is attached to the arm, and set it on rim of the wheel. With the duck head positioned place one side of the bead over the hump of the duck head, and the other under. Once this is done push the pedal down, to spin the wheel clock wise, to set the tire on to the wheel. Repeat this step with the top bead. If necessary use the tools provided with the machine to aid you in this process. Now all you got left is to air up the tire. Making sure that all beads are sealed properly on the wheel.
