Success is not a matter of luck. Success is the realization of your goals. Ask any successful person what they want to achieve in their life and they can tell you exactly what that is. Bill Gates has a desire to put a computer in everyone's home. He became an extremely wealthy man in the process but it is not the money that makes him successful. He has virtually realized his dream.
Luck is not the factor that determines our success. Realising your goals is a fair measure of how successful you are. Ask any successful person what they want to achieve in their life and they can tell you exactly what that is.

Running the mile in under 4 minutes was not achieved by Roger Bannister because he was motivated by money, but to show that it was possible. Mount Everest was the mountain Edmund Hilary wanted to conquer.
Mother Theresa wanted to help the poor but she probably never dreamt she would start a charitable organization responsible for helping millions of unfortunate people worldwide. She died a pauper but I think most would consider her a successful person.
If you are spoilt and lazy, can you be successful? No, the secret to real success is hard work, dedication and resilience. You need the ability to pick yourself up and start over when things don't go according to plan.
People who are successful see setbacks as opportunities. To have a successful life, firstly you need to look at what success means to you personally.
Other peoples definitions are not important, but your own is. You need to be committed to making this work. This may mean putting in longer hours than anyone else. It may mean studying and working at the same time. No matter what you have to do, the commitment and energy to achieve it will be there for you.
When you know what you want and that becomes your goal, then you will see that you are surrounded by possibilities that will help you reach it.
If you dont know what you want, how will you recognize when life is giving you a chance? You would never dream of driving to a new destination without a map and success is exactly the same.
Know your destination, how to get there and be determined to do anything to make it.
Being successful in life doesn't depend on what kind of parents, genes or third grade teacher you had. The sooner you accept 100% responsibility for the success you have achieved to date, or lack thereof, the nearer you will be on the road to achieving the life you dream of.
