Switzerland is a country that does not get a lot of attention from some British holidaymakers

1.Lindenhof If you are interested in seeing what Switzerland is all about you must get yourself down to the Lindenhof. Home to a historic Roman castle, this is one of the most quintessentially Swiss places you could ever imagine.
2.The Zoo It may seem like a waste of time to visit a zoo in a beautifully cultural city. However, Zurich zoo is quite the exception. It is one of the biggest zoos in the world and is home to over 3,000 different species of animal. It is also built to perfection and truly does offer a wonderful day out, especially if you have children with you.
3.Landesmuseum Zurich is a city that prides itself on its cultural heritage with endless amounts of museums and art galleries to choose from. The Landesmuseum is certainly the pick of the bunch with its incredibly architecture impressing before you even step foot through the door. It is widely regarded as the most important museum in Switzerland so take your time to ensure you have taken it all in.
4.Fraumunster This landmark is something that you will have seen if you have ever looked at pictures of Zurich. This tall church spire certainly dominates the skyline with a breath taking design. The abbey attached to the spire was built in 853 and really is a beautiful illustration of Swiss history.
5.Lake Zurich promenade Zurich is home to a lake, and an absolutely stunning one at that. It is ever so easy to spend an entire day walking or cycling the promenade around the lake, taking in the sights without a second thought. It is images and landscapes like these that truly are the spirit of Switzerland. For anyone who is enticed by the call of nature this is definitely something that is not to be missed.
