There is no need to try new ways of doing things if the more experienced teachers already have successful ways of challenging and teaching the pupils. Think of ways of planning your lessons ahead of time too. Not only does this give you a good framework to stick to, it also means you can tell your pupils what to expect next. In this way they can plan more effectively and know what is coming next. Go online and search for information that helps teachers in your subject plan their lessons in advance. Other teachers are usually only too happy to pass on what has worked for them. You can find plans for different subjects as well as tips and advice on planning lessons in general, so make the most of all this information. As you can see, lesson plans are a key part of any new teachers arsenal of tools.
