It is tempting to snack on the go when you have a baby, yet by eating all day and on bad foods this can make losing excess lbs hard and may even encourage weight gain. As a result try to give yourself time off where you can pre-make food for the week and ensure you are eating healthy.
2.Go for a walk
Taking your baby for a stroll to the park or into town, or meeting a friend for a drink can all assist to workout those limbs and get you exercising. The weight of your baby and pram in particular is fantastic for exercising muscles and will make your limbs to exercise harder.
3.Cook your own food
Resist the temptation of cooking ready made supermarket snacks and try to make your own food. Most pre-cooked foods are overflowing in fat and salt that can quickly bump up the calories. Instead aim to create your own food as this will enable you to manage your calorie content more effectively. Please Note: if you are finding it difficult to make time to cook daily, put time aside for yourself to cook in in large quantities. Utilising your fridge freezer, you can divide these pre-cooked meals and re-heat them over the week.
4.Go to your gym
Now we are not telling you to spend hours on the exercise machines here. You can make attending your local leisure centre exciting for the whole family by going swimming weekly. Swimming is a fantastic way to train your whole body and have fun with your child, without straining yourself.
5.Try breastfeeding
You think the concept of breastfeeding unappealing, particularly when your baby needs feeding every 2-3 hours; however breastfeeding has been found to use up over 500 calories per day (or between 200 and 600 calories).
6.Exercise with friends
Going for walks or attending an exercise class with a mate is a great way to keep yourself motivated and make sure that you workout regularly. Strategy: if you are feeling uncomfortable with your body, why not ask another new mother to go with you and use each other as a motivator.
Shedding excess lbs after having a baby doesn't have to be complicated or tiresome. Incorporate any of the listed strategies into your dietary plan and you can confidently get in shape.
