Touch Stone Reiki - A Simple Explanation to an Incredible Healing Technique

What is Reiki? Reiki is a healing treatment that works on the body, mind and emotional levels to release blocked energy. These energy points are called Chakras. The simplest way to explain the Chakras is a bunch of energy centers located throughout our bodies (like little motors in an engine). To be healthy these motors (or chakras) need to have a free flow of energy. When these little motors get "clogged" with physical, mental and emotional stress the energy doesn't flow properly and becomes blocked thus hindering the flow of energy to the rest of our "motors" and as a result our engine doesn't work the way it should. With Touch Stone Reiki basalt stones are used and enhance the healing properties of Reiki. This technique is similar to acupuncture, shiatsu, reflexology and other Eastern methods that are being recognized and covered by many major insurance companies world-wide.

What Can Touch Stone Reiki Help to Heal? Many aspects of Reiki have been included in clinical trials and have been proven in helping with various health issues such as a quicker recovery time from surgery & illness, aids in pain management, reduces stress, prepares you physically and mentally for pre-op and post-op procedures, ease of pain from fybromyalgia, migraines, arthritis and helps to ease mental anguish (to name a few). What Happens During a Touch Stone Reiki Treatment? You are fully clothed on a massage table and warm stones are placed on various parts of your body where you then relax, close your eyes and open yourself up to the experience (which is different for each person). Some have a feeling of "floating" while others see different colors. Sometimes there is a sensation of warm heat felt in different parts of the body while others feel this amazing peace and positive outlook come over them. If you have not had this type of treatment before it can take a few minutes to settle in. The most common reported experience during a treatment is a profound sense of relaxation and peace that can last for days and weeks. Trust me the benefits are numerous.
