Toyota Fortuner Anniversary Edition Launched In India

The Indian unit of Japanese car maker Toyota Motor is celebrating the completion

of one year of its most popular portfolio model Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market. The company has launched a limited edition of this SUV model in India named as Fortuner Anniversary Edition on the occasion. The Fortuner model was launched in the Indian market in the month of August last year and since then it has received an overwhelming response from the Indian buyers. The company has sold more than 10,000 units of this car in the Indian market till now. Only 250 units of this car will be sold and it will be available in only pearl white. Some minor changes have been made in this limited edition Fortuner model as compared to the existing model of this car. In the exterior, new body color bumpers have been added at both front and rear along with a rear roof. With this, to make the car look more special, the exhaust muffler has been coated with chrome garnishing.

The new limited edition of Fortuner model will come powered with a 3.0 L TDCI D-4D, DOHC diesel engine coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Fortuner Anniversary Edition has been labelled Anniversary Edition at the tailgate of the vehicle.

According to Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director-Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, as the company is celebrating both the first anniversary and the milestone of selling 10,000 units, it is delighted to introduce the Anniversary Edition of the Fortuner which will be made available exclusively to its customers who have already made bookings with the company. He added that the company would like to thank its customers for making the Fortuner the market leader in its segment, since its launch.

The Fortuner model is available with a price tag of Rs. 20.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is enjoying a waiting period of as much as 6 months in the country.
