Above all engines were the Five- speed manual and four- speed automatic transmission system. Other specifications for all engines were length- 3950mm, width- 1666mm, height-1234mm and the distance between the centers of the front and rear wheels was 2319mm.

Toyota MR2 W20 is introduced as the 2nd production of the Toyota MR2 which was formed in North America in 1990 and continued up to1991. For this model, 2.2L 5S-FE I4 TYPE engine is utilized which produced power of 130hp at 5400rpm and torque of 144lbs-ft as well 2.0L 3S-GTE turbo I4 engine is also used which produced power of 165kw at 6000rpm and torque of 304Nm at 3200rpm. This engine was the four-inline turbo engine with displacement of 1998cc and compression ratio of 8.8:1. The upcoming engine for the Toyota MR2 is four- cylinder DOHC 4V VVT-I (variable valve timing with intelligence) which has displacement of 1794cc, compression ratio of 10:1, power of 138bhp at 6400rpm,torque of 127lb-ft at 4200rpm and the tank capacity of this engine is 48 Liters.
