Training Options to Stay Fit When You Can't Hit the Gym

A Personal Trainer in Your MP3 Player? What!?!

It's easy to slack off when you're out of your normal routine, however, being away from the gym or on vacation doesn't mean you have to be off your fitness training schedule.

We recently found an article with some great websites that offer one-of-a-kind MP3 exercise programs that may help you stay fit when you're on-the-go! Currently, there exist a number of downloadable workouts that make it much easier to stay in-shape when a gym might not be available. In this article, we've reviewed two sites offering MP3 workout programs that may provide some added motivation to help stay fit wherever you may be!

iTrain.com

iTrain began after celebrity fitness trainers Grace Lazenby and Sebastien Reant recognized the popularity of MP3 players amongst fitness enthusiasts. With that, Lazenby and Reant embraced the iPod Revolution, viewing the popularized devices as the 'perfect' platform to launch a personal training program.

On the iTrain site, Lazenby explains, "...[it seemed] natural to apply this technology to a fitness product."

With that, iTrain was born. On the site, users can download a workout program of their choice and integrate it into their fitness routine in almost no time at all.

The site currently offers a number of different program options, from cardio-based routines, to stretch-based routines and sculpt and strength routines. iTrain even includes areas on their site with programs specifically tailored to teens and discounted workout routines. Some other great elements of the site include a video section with "How-To's" for individual exercises, diet tips, health advice and more!

CardioCoach.com

CardioCoach is another audio workout program designed for any type of workout or cardio machine.

CardioCoach, however, is different from iTrain since it requires the user to gauge the exact pace and incline of the workout routine. The fitness programs on this site are designed to accommodate all fitness levels. Every workout download is unique, with different music and intervals for each program.

While the site boasts lots of perks to the average "couch potato", it seems more geared towards hobbyists versus competitive athletes.

After reviewing the two programs, it seems that ultimately, the decision must be made by s/he who plans on using it. Both programs are competitive in their offering, however, it really boils down to the users' exercise preferences, personal needs, etc.
