Tricia Downsizes To A Friendly Community At Hillreed Homes West Sussex Development

Homeowner Tricia Cooper lived happily in a Hillreed Homes four-bedroom property in

Loxwood in West Sussex or years with her husband, but when he sadly died, she soon found herself wanting to move to a smaller, more manageable home. When she saw some hoardings advertising a forthcoming Hillreed Homes new homes development in Billingshurst, she decided to investigate.

Tricia says: "It was absolutely perfect for my needs when I saw the sale board outside the development, advertising bungalows - something that is rare in the new homes market. I knew from past experience that Hillreed build quality properties with a great deal of attention to detail, so I was quite confident in buying off-plan. [It's] even bigger than I thought now it is built so I don't really feel that I have downsized at all!"

Tricia has now moved in to her new home at Tree Tops, which comprises just 14 properties, of which just one remains for sale. There's already a friendly community taking shape there, which has really helped Tricia settle in. In fact, the residents took part recently in a charity coffee morning organised by Hillreed homes that raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

"It was extremely successful," says Sally-Anne Wright, Sales Manager at Hillreed Homes. "We raised just under 100 within the couple of hours that we all gathered. Not only was it good to raise the money for such a worthy cause but it transpired that some of the staff and homeowners have in the past received direct support from the Macmillan Nurses and knew the importance of their assistance in times of trouble. Also, it was a good time for everyone to really relax, get to know each other - and of course have a coffee!"

The last remaining property at Tree Tops is the four-bedroom 'Queenborough', priced 395,000. Centred on the entrance hall, the downstairs accommodation includes a spacious kitchen/dining room, utility room, cloakroom, study and living room, which has French doors opening out onto the rear garden. Upstairs, three of the four bedrooms have built-in cupboard space, while the master bedroom has an en suite shower room. There's also a family bathroom.

Hillreed Homes is currently running a number of incentives at Tree Tops. Part exchange will be considered, subject to terms, and there are some financial bonuses on offer to those who can exchange contracts quickly: a 6,000 discount for a five-week exchange; 8,000 for a four-week exchange; and a whopping 10,000 for those who can exchange in just three weeks.
