There are so many men in this city that I thought having to try Speed Dating Washington DC would be unnecessary. I figured all I had to do was go to happy hour with my friends, or co-workers and "Viola!" the love of my life would appear. What I hadn't realized is that the male-female ratio is not stacked in a woman's favor in this city.
So after trying online dating sites, the personals and a matchmaker, I decided to go to a speed dating dc event with a couple of friends. Hosted by Professionals in the City, the events are held according to age group which was a relief because I wasn't stuck with a lot of men in their 50s because I'm only 29 years-old.
Speed Dating Washington DC was held at a gorgeous lounge with a special section cordoned off for our event. When we arrived for check-in 20 minutes early there was one man that instantly caught my eye. Since we had time to mingle at the bar before the event began I struck up a conversation with him and we clicked immediately!
When the singles speed dating portion began everyone had his or her 4-5 minute dates, which lasted for approximately one hour. When he rotated to my table I was so excited, and when the whistle blew to move on to the next date we didn't want to stop talking. And we didn't have to.
After the event ended everyone headed back to the bar for more socializing. My friends met men they liked too. So Speed Dating Washington DC was a success for all of us and I highly recommend you try it.
