Twitter is one of numerous social networking programs that can be used for not only the social side of things, but also for internet marketing purposes. Has it ever occurred to you, that just about everyone who is successful in the field of internet marketing, uses Twitter in some way, shape or form? Does that tell you something? It should tell you that it obviously works, or these millions and millions of people would not be doing it.

Twitter is an exceptionally easy program to use. The idea behind it is to gather more followers. It's about getting like minded people together. Twitter has limits as to how many people you can follow, however as you gain more followers, those limits change.

Secondly, as you get Twitter followers, you should be sending out tweets. These are pieces of information that you want to share with your followers that you feel will benefit them. You should make it valuable information that you believe your followers would benefit from knowing. This makes your followers want to read more of your tweets.

Thirdly, for busy people who want to use Twitter as a marketing tool, but who find it too time consuming to be continually tweeting, there are programs available to automate the entire thing for you, so you can set it all up on autopilot. You can decide what tweets you want to send, and when, and let third party software do it all for you.

Whether you want to spend money on third party software to automate the process of tweeting, or whether you have time to use Twitter the manual way, you should find it an effective way to promote your internet business.
