U.s. Health Plan Need Not Be Deadly

Obama's Health Insurance Plan is gaining national attention but it has many people

up in arms and is now even producing death threats directed at those law makers who pushed through the plan a few days ago. For those who have serious health issues, the unemployed, uninsured and young adults this plan has a lot to offer. For those who have good insurance and benefits the insurance plan threatens to raise insurance premiums and serve them no benefits. Perhaps this is the problem.

If a charitable donation write off were offered to offset the certain impending premium rate hikes, would this take wind out of the fight? Would this give the needed incentive to pay more without question? Would it stop the finger pointing at those living in their midst who they perceive to be lazy or just wanting hand outs. Medical debts is one of the top reasons people file bankruptcy. A growing number of Americans are dying every year because of the out of reach health care they need. Millions are sent to other nations without question; while a different message is sent to our own neighbors, that we will put up a fight to NOT provide health care for the needy among us. Something seems to be wrong with this picture.

This tax write off may not be the only reason for hostile behavior. The American government and its highest leaders and law makers at times have been guilty of implementing things in a corrupt way and forgetting who they work for. They answer to the people. After being reminded of this from time to time, the issues in question are forced to be repealed and revised again and again till it is done the right way. John Q. Public still has a loud voice. This is still the American Way.

The majority of the people in this country will likely benefit form this new Health Care Plan, even if the complaining increases or seems justified. Back before the economic downturn, people were in constant struggle with their quest for health care. The downturn forced many to give up and loose hope. The true scope of struggle most Americans face while finding, affording and keeping dependable vital health care has yet to be truly realized.

It is the American way to gripe about unfair increases that benefit only the fat cats in Washington D.C. but perhaps this is not one of those cases but a case of the government actually creating something that can help the ill that are struggling to survive each and every day. At this point, while it is understandable that Americans don?t want to pay more money to a corrupt government it is important to look at the broader picture and determine whether or not this is a necessary change. A look around might see things differently.
