Understand How to Operate Wireless Headphones
These days, we can easily find wireless devices in the electronic stores
, including the wireless headphones. This technology will really help us to enjoy our favorite music without being held in one certain spot. With these wireless headphones, we can still move around the room freely because the headsets are not attached to any cord. Do you know how this wireless technology works?
The Elements
Wired headphones will operate when they receive the electric impulses from other equipment, such as DVD or MP3 players. The electric impulses are transferred through the wire from the player to the headphones so that you can listen to the sound generated. With the wireless headphones, the signal transferred is being simplified through the air directly to the headphones. Therefore, you do not need any cable to make this wireless device works. Somehow, these headphones have a base unit functions as the transmitter. All you need to do is plugging this base unit directly to the player so that it can transmit the signal to the wireless headset.
The Signal Medium
The signal medium that is being transmitted from the base unit can be in the form of infrared, Bluetooth and radio signals. For radio and Bluetooth signals, they work in similar ways. The difference is that the Bluetooth has a lower frequency compared to the radio. The base unit will transmit the signal received from the player through the radio wave. The headphones antenna will catch these signals and convert them into sound. On the other hand, the infrared signal will work like the remote of TV. The signal transferred will be in the form of optical signal. Once the headphones receive this signal, they will convert it into the sound.
