My view of wealth and money was totally smashed and replaced by a far more intelligent way of understanding wealth, after I came across a book called 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. It was suggested that 'how wealthy' you are is not dependent on how much money you have in the bank, but rather how long you could live if for without borrowing money if for any reason you couldn't work.
So your neighbour, Mr Jones, might need $2,000 a month to survive (including credit card repayments, mortgage, food, car repayments etc.) and he has a job, but only earns $1,800 a month. His car is slick, his garden is beautiful. You currently have $10,000 in the bank and you lose your job and can't work for health reasons.
In no way is the suggestion that you can't enjoy the good things in life or have a nice house or car. It's about having constant recurring passive income.
The author was making the point that if you're able to have recurring passive income, then your wealth is infinite because so long as your passive income was equal or more than your monthly expenditure, you didn't need to work and could survive forever.
One of the easiest ways to increase wealth, if wealth is linked to how much money you can live off, is by reducing your expenditure, and the biggest nuisance when it comes to monthly expenditure is bills.
We can't live without electricity, so don't think I mean stop using it, but you can create your own supply of electricity for free, and if you have enough left over after you have used what you need you can even sell the rest, like any other commodity.
How do I go about getting free energy:
Getting free electricity is really very simple you can use the common methods such as solar panels, wind turbines or magnets, or you can use all three to really maximise your power generation.
If this is the route you decide to persue, the initial cost is expensive, but of course you will make back that money and not have to pay another electricity bill in your life.
Lets be honest with ourselves, money is just about how you feel at the end of the day, if you have enough to get by your feeling ok if you don't you feel rubbish, and if you have enough and a bit left over for the luxuries in life you feel great.
To feel the freedom and relief associated with building your own self generating power supply is amazing, you will feel fantastic knowing you don't have to budget for electricity bills any longer.
An added incentive for most of us is also the environment, though this should actually be the principal rationale to live self sufficiently, it is an afterthought for most, it is still a great accomplishment to leave the line of individuals who add to our distressed global climate.About the Author:
