, consider returning to school as a way to advance your education and gain in personal growth.

Being unemployed can create a sense of isolation as well as loss of confidence. Even those with years at the same job may have found themselves no longer needed there. This change in one's life means a change in one's identity and routines. A sense of strength can often be lost because one's identity was tied up with earning money as well as the role at their job.

When thinking about school, one of the fears is about how to pay for it given that there is very little money coming in. You may be living as a family on one person's income, have unemployment money or are about to run out of your unemployment monthly funds. There are scholarships available for going back to school and this is a good time to take advantage of them.

By filling out the FAFSA, you will be eligible to get money from the US government if you either are low income or are currently unemployed. The application is free to fill out and is used by a number of organization as a base. Not only is college important for job training and career changes but also it is a way to socialize and build back your self-esteem. Taking courses enables you to feel that you are doing something worthwhile and that you'll be back contributing again to society as well.

Try to see unemployment as a time for a true change rather than let it get you down. You don't have to lose your dreams, but they may need to take a new direction to fit in with the current economic climate in difficult times.
