Games and Sports
Athletes of the university are members of Big 12 Conference and compete as the Texas Longhorns. Since date the university has bagged four National Football Championships. It has also claimed more titles in the men and women sports events in comparison to other schools in the Conference. They have also won 88 Olympic medals and were named the best Sports College of United States in 2002.

In the 2010 assessment by U.S News & Word Report, the university was ranked 45th in the country overall and 13th among the public universities. McCombs School of Business in the university ranked seventh among all undergraduate business programs in United States.
