Stumps are also used for advertisements of the sponsors.

They give an exclusive view of the match and clear sound of the ball. To insert the camera in the stumps one of them is made hollow. Snickometers were also used earlier for detecting sounds. The latest cameras used by the commentators are hot spot. For minute detection these hot spots have proved to be very supportive in the matches.
