End caps come in a variety of forms and shapes with one primary objective: to protect the contents of their containers

End caps are very simple to use. They can be pushed in easily and removed quickly with a pull tab. There are plenty of hardware stores which carry a lot of caps that can fit a host of applications in the home or office. End caps are also found in many commercial outlets and industrial environment.
Types of Caps
There are tapered caps as well as center pull caps. Flanged or straight end caps are also plentiful in the market with metal caps, tubing caps and threaded end caps. These can be square, hexagonal, round and hanger shaped.
End caps protect all applications against product damage, scratches, cracks and dirt that may happen during storage, shipping or assembly. They can be used to seal items or areas during painting and coating works. End caps make a lovely finish on many products they are placed on.
Tapered Paper End Caps
End caps can be made of paper and tapered instead of being straight. Such end caps can handle high temperatures up to 400F or 205C. Tapered end caps made of paper are usually tan color. They are preferred by environmentally friendly consumers as these are recyclable items. Only the best and most appropriate materials comprising virgin materials are used to form tapered paper end caps which does not allow condensation to happen.
Paper is a good choice for end caps as it is economical compared to other materials such as silicone or rubber. Paper end caps are used in painting applications as paper is known to be hygroscopic; there is little dimensional or humidity variations.
Round End Caps
Round shaped caps can fit the ends of any pipe to ensure no dirt or debris gets into the inside of the item. These caps can be made of vinyl or rubber. Round end caps can be flanged in design with a range of colors to choose from although yellow is a preferred choice for easy identification and better aesthetics. These caps can be used on pipes and open ended tubing to seal the item securely from dirt and debris at all times.
