Vasathi Housing Celebrates Independence Day With An Exclusive Screening Of A Movie For 350 Underpriv

Hyderabad, August 13, 2012: Vasathi Housing Limited organized a special screening

of the recently released Indian Telugu film Eega for about 350 underprivileged children at the Prasads IMAX. This event was organized as a part of the companys pre Independence Day celebrations.

The underprivileged children included orphans from various city based NGOs like Ankuram Society, The Secunderabad Don Bosco Navajeevan Society, Auxilium Navajeevana, Lions Club Hyderabad, Sadhana Institute for Mentally Challenged and Kamalamma Welfare Organisation.

This was our heartfelt initiative to bring more smiles on many innocent faces on the occasion of Independence Day. Our aim was to give them a pleasant memory that they can cherish, quoted P.V. Ravindra Kumar, CEO, Vasathi Housing Limited adding, We also chose this occasion to officially launch our CSR program Bricks to Books that provides basic literacy classes, day care for toddlers and nourishing meals for all children at our construction sites while their parents are at work.

At one point I felt that Eega would come and sit on my head. I was scared, laughed Srinu (5) a student of Bricks To Books. "The fly looked so big! I was thrilled," said Usha, another underprivileged girl who had a memorable experience at the screening.

At the end of the screening, Vasathis unique community initiative program Bricks to Books for the underprivileged kids was formally launched by the Guest of Honour, Smt Sunitha Laxma Reddy .V, Minister for Indira Kranthi Patham, Pensions, Self Help Groups & Women Development, Child Welfare & Disabled Welfare, Juvenile.
