In a day and age when most of us are turning towards Vastu Shastra

, Feng Shui etc to generate positive energies and rectify certain ailments in life, how can builders and contractors be left un awaress? These days, many buildings are build and constructed keeping such things in mind. Here are few vastu shastra pointers for your dream home

1)Vastu for bedroom

(i)Master bedroom should ideally be south west part of the house

(ii)Preferable shapes are rectangular and square

2)Vastu for bathroom

(i)Avoid south west and south east part of the house to be the bathroom

(ii)Prefer north or north west alignments

(iii)Avoid proximity to puja room or kitchen

(iv)Prefer north or east alignments for bathroom door

3)Vastu for kitchen

(i)South east represents best alignment for kitchen

(ii)Avoid south west and north east

(iii)Set up the stove in the east part of the kitchen

(iv)For entrance to the kitchen, prefer eastern or northern side

4)Vastu for kids room

(i)Make the kids room in the west part of the house

(ii)Avoid placing mirror opposite the kid's bed

(iii)Place the bed in the south west corner

(iv)Always place any objects like mirror, computer, TV etc on the right or left side of the bed

5)Vastu for living room

(i)Try to accentuate the living room with colors of white, blue, green or yellow

(ii)Try putting the furniture in southern or western corners

(iii)Pictures should be hung from north to east area

(iv)Rectangular or circular shapes perfect for centre table

(v)For furniture, stick to square or rectangular shape

(vi)Avoid dark colors, concentrate on lighter shades

(vii)Make sure furniture does not touch the walls.

These are some basic vastu tips for the dream house! You may or may not be able to make all changes because construction of the building is important. Do not get disheartened.
