Everybody likes holidays

Everybody likes holidays. Holiday trips are more interesting. However, to decide on a destination for holiday trips is often found to a difficult task. Whether it is a family trip or a group tour, the persons with different interests will suggest different locations and it is very difficult to make them agree upon a single destination. Anyway, there were no such difficulties in deciding the destination during our last holiday trip. Without much discussion we decide on Fort Lauderdale. The city in the Florida State is also known as the Venice of America with a large number of canals which resembles those canals of Venice.

The most important part of any trip is the task for arranging cheap flights. You need some extra talking power to do these airline deals. Being a hot destination for tourists many international airlines from our continent such as British Airways, Air France etc are operating flights to Fort Lauderdale. Somehow I could get cheap tickets to Fort Lauderdale in one of those flights. We reached there without much trouble.

Fort Lauderdale is well known for its arts and entertainment and it is also called as River walk Arts & Entertainment district. We came to know that many people are visiting this place only for enjoying the various art forms performed at various venues. After the introduction of cheap flights to Fort Lauderdale, the number of such visitors has increased enormously. Other attractions of the place are a number of museums. Just like the crowd in various venues of performing arts we could see somewhat good crowd in these museums also. Various paintings and murals exhibited here really vouch for the rich cultural heritage of Fort Lauderdale.

Long beaches are another attraction here. The life in these beaches is very live and active. We hardly saw anybody who came there to take rest. Most of the people have come there in groups and they all are engaged in some recreational activity or the other. We have seen some groups playing beach volley while some were dancing to the tune of drums and guitars which they brought along with them. Many people were enjoying the sea bath and the children were playing in the calm waves.

The night life is also well known and many people from other parts of United States of America come here to enjoy the night life. With its well illuminated beaches and various night clubs the life in the night is always colorful and filled with music and dance. The fortnight we spent there was really entertaining and that helped us to fill ourselves with a sort of positive energy. While returning from Fort Lauderdale, we really felt sad. We felt like leaving the heaven of joy and returning to the worries of day to day life. However we have decided to visit the city once again in the near future.
