Another common way in which companies use VoIP is through a managed IP phone system. This is where you buy all of the hardware you will need. You will purchase the hardware and software from a company which will then manage the connection for you. Installation of the hardware and software will be handled by the company you hire. They will also make service calls in which they will help you with any connection problems you might be having.

The least favorite of all the systems are the ones in which you own everything. You purchase the hardware. You purchase the software. You also need to pay for any and all service calls from an expert. While some larger companies might use this option because they can hire an expert to be on staff, it is not an option many businesses can even explore.

If you have the money to have someone on staff to manage the phone system, it will be a huge advantage. You will be able to get immediate responses to connection issues or hardware problems. You will also be able to have someone on staff who will know exactly what you are looking for in the phone systems you install.
