You will be given ideas for training drills and ways to improve techniques, so you do not need to be an expert. Eventually, you will get to know your group and be able to develop training accordingly. As your teaching skills improve so will your confidence and the children will go from strength to strength as a result of your hard work and commitment.

Working in sports in different countries can be a real eye opener. Sport will be played no matter how little equipment is available and it is wonderful to see. The ability of many of the children is often not realised until willing volunteers get involved. Once these children are exposed to disciplined training the improvement in their skill levels is dramatic.

It is not only training that needs to be supervised, but matches too. Organising tournaments and matches is part of what is required of the volunteers. Although finding yourself coaching abroad in schools very different to what you may be used to may seem intimidating at first, it wont take long to start to realise the difference made in these childrens lives.
