Volvo Are Looking For A New Way For Lightening Batteries Without Losing Power

The venture capital industry may be shrinking

,but Battery Ventures is growing.

Dell latitude d820 battery which has offices in Massachusetts, Silicon Valley and Israel, has closed a $750 million fund, the firms ninth. It will invest the money in both new start-ups that need a few hundred thousand dollars to get off the ground and mature companies that need $50 million.

The new fund is the latest evidence that Silicon Valley, which was moving in slow motion last year, is feeling revived.

Battery will continue to invest in its core interests, which include digital media, enterprise software and clean technology.

Mr. Lee is particularly interested in local services, like Angies List and A Place for Mom, a site with resources for caring for elderly relatives, both of which Battery has invested in.

He also has his eye on online shopping. New e-commerce business models are emerging as companies change the way they find new customers and manufacture products, he said.

For instance, Batteries are invested in J.Hilburn, an e-commerce company selling mens clothing with a twist. like Dell inspiron 6000 battery.It sends salespeople to customers offices to get their measurements, then custom orders the clothes direct from the manufacturer in China. The result is a product that fits better and costs less, Mr. Lee said.

As the amount of money raised by venture firms shrinks, older firms that were around before the dot-com bubble will benefit, said Michael Taylor, a managing director at HarbourVest, which invested in Dell inspiron 1721 batterys fund.

These firms have track records, brand names and knowledge about how to avoid making mistakes that younger firms do not necessarily have, he said.
