It's hardly surprising that widespread symptoms of the electoral disorder known as Voters' Block are beginning to materialise. It is caused by the mental anguish of having to vote for a party when you're convinced they're all a load of lemons.

After sixteen years the Labor Party has not quite stuffed NSW so it would be an act of manic masochism to vote for them to finish the job.

The only people expected to vote Labor are Paul Howes, some members of his union, hosts of ABCcurrent affairs programmes, men who lust after Kristina and psychiatric patients.

It is almost impossible to conceive that anyone would be deluded enough to vote for the Greens and enable them to cause the same sort of political pantomime in NSW as they've managed in Canberra. They're the Cinderella Party. If the shoe doesn't fit your carbon footprint is too big.

People who vote for Barry will do so with some confidence that at least he's not going to fiddle his parliamentary expenses, visit male sex clubs, romp around Macquarie Street orgies in his underpants or be power-broked by Joe Tripodi.

However the Labor Government in NSW has been one of the world's biggest ever unnatural disasters so voting for Barry and co. with no experience in government, to clean it all up is a bit like voting for Kate Middleton to clean up after Fergie.

If you experience symptoms of voters block when you reach a polling station like feeling so desperate you're even thinking of voting for an independent don't panic. Just remember you don't have to be completely mad to vote in a NSW election but it helps.

You can't help wondering how a good sort like Kristina and a nice chap like Barry became engaged in a dirty business like NSW politics. Apparently it's all about the challenge of leading people through the really tough times to reach a better life. A bit like people smuggling really.
