Husky Harris, who was demoted last month to Florida Championship Wrestling (though officially still listed as a RAW Superstar), recently debuted a masked character in the developmental promotion.
Paying homage to his grandfather, WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan, Harris appeared at the March 9 and 16 FCW live events as Axl Mulligan. His appearance appears based on the Lord Humongous character from the 1981 film Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, which spurned various knock-offs in wrestling. Harris wears jeans and a black Misfits T-shirt to go along with the hockey like mask.
Harris has also changed his in-ring mannerisms and is using the Stone Cold Stunner as his finishing maneuver. He beat Ricardo Rodriguez with the move last Wednesday, and then struck Brodus Clay during a post-match brawl. Photos of that event has surfaced online.
It is unclear as to whether the character will continue as Harris appeared as himself at last Thursday's FCW live event, one day removed from appearing as the masked persona.
- Stan sent word that there was 34 minutes and 13 seconds of in-ring action on Friday's SmackDown, almost double the 19 minutes and 53 seconds on the previous week's show.
- WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper noted on Twitter that he is writing another book. Speaking of Piper, his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel will be filmed this coming Thursday night.
- As noted before, John Cena wrote on Twitter that he received a concussion on last Monday's RAW in the attack from The Miz and Alberto Del Rio. Word is that the Cena concussion may just be a part of the storylines. We should know more after RAW tonight.
- Triple H teamed up with John Cena to defeat Sheamus and CM Punk at last night's WWE RAW event in Newark, New Jersey. No word yet on when Triple H will wrestle on TV or if it will even happen before WrestleMania 27.
- WWE's big RAW that night in Atlanta will face some major competition as they will go head-to-head with the championship game of the NCAA men's basketball tournament. WWE has The Rock confirmed for RAW that night and the fallout from WrestleMania in their four-hour block of TV that includes the return of Tough Enough.
As noted before, Ted DiBiase may be headed to the SmackDown roster. In an update, he and Maryse were still with the RAWbrand on this weekend's live events.
- Betty Skaaland, the widow of WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Skaaland, was sitting front row for the show at Madison Square Garden this weekend. She was embraced by both John Cena and Triple H.
- WrestleMania opponents will be facing off in an eight-man match the night after WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta on RAW with John Cena, Edge, Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton taking on The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk.
