WWE's Money in the Bank Concept Starting to Die Out

If we gaze over the winners of the last Money in the Bank matches in WWE over the past 3 years, you'll notice that all of them failed to secure a spot in the main event. The three wrestlers that have won money in the bank in the past 3 years are CM Punk, CM Punk again, and now Jack Swagger.

The problem with WWE's new concept is that they allow a wrestler who doesn't have enough credibility yet, to win the Money in the Bank match. What I mean is that neither Punk nor Swagger were built properly prior to their big wins. When they win, the audience doesn't care and the fact that they were even world champions at one point slowly dies out.

The first two winners of this match, Edge and RVD were properly built up prior their win. In other words, they did have the proper credibility that a wrestler needs to become a main event wrestler. And both of them did become main event wrestlers after their win. Mr. Kennedy was also treading the right path, but he was released by WWE over an incident.

WWE can easily turn this around by simply putting in more effort in building the wrestlers before they actually win the briefcase. This year at Wrestlemania 26, the real winner of the Money in the Bank match should've been Christian, or Kofi Kingston. Both of them had the proper building required.

I realise that WWE is simply making these wrestlers win these matches in order to increase the surprise rate of the fans. But in the process, they are ruining these wrestler's future main event spots. If a wrestler's first attempt in the main event is messed up, then it's really difficult for WWE management to make the fans accept the wrestler in the main event again.

This situation can easily be turned around if the current WWE management would take off their lazy caps, and put more effort into making future main event wrestlers. Hopefully, Vince realizes soon that the Money in the Bank concept is getting ruined, and decides to do something about it himself.
