Warning! U.S. Government Shutdown 2011 may cause you to lose your job!

It appears another government shutdown maybe happen. The last one occured in 1995-6 in which I had lost my job due to my small company losing a lot of money. I'm not here to give you an opinion of whether or not the Democrats or Republicans are correct. I'm writing to tell you how to keep your financial status afloat so you can resume life as normal while the political figureheads continue to disrupt our great nation.

Here's what happened during the 95-96 shutdown:

400+ national parks and museums shut down

Waste clean-up was halted

Centers for Disease and Control also stopped

Visa and Passports went unprocessed

Almost all government services shut down, including Social Security and medicare checks

So what does this mean for you? An economical collapse! Nearly all government services completely shut down, meaning loss of billions of dollars. The unprocessed visas and passports alone lost millions from the tourist industry. All of this affects small and big businesses alike. Small companies lost money, while big companies cut jobs. Unfortunately, the small company I was working for at that time was already fragile and it went completely awry.
