Ways Of A Cyber Bully: Are You Aware?

, this phrase finds its true meaning online for many kids. This is because online domain is an area wherein they feel they can roam freely, without major supervision from guardians. They seek refuge in cyberspace, and many are largely influenced by its effects.

Cyber bullying is a serious crime that is projecting its web on the fraternity of children. Kids find great comfort and enjoyment in indulging in online messaging or chatting. Those having cell phones also tend to circulate SMSs and MMSs. Gone are the days when kids would produce their inner thoughts in diaries, now they love dispensing it online.

Perversion of a child's mind. Certain bullies pose as online guardians and mentors and easily loom over the child's thinking. Slowly, these bullies begin giving directions to follow. These directions may be to start offending their parents for their strict supervision, or to watch porn movies to grow up. Since bullies largely work under the cloak of anonymity, and mails are not supervised by any cyber authority, they are on safe grounds.

Child begins getting pervert and roguish. They tend to go to a neighboring cyber cafe, if their access on net at home is restricted. Since bullies use the means of touching delicate points of a child's mind, they have a higher chance to succeed. Parents, on their part, can start by becoming a friend and guide of their kids. They can become online friends on networking sites to keep notice of their friends and messages directly.

Actions parents must take. Children should be dissuaded from making prominent use of their mobiles. They should also be inculcated values of reading good books, for that is a positive pastime that also eats up good time. They should be told in direct words that if they ever feel like getting influenced by people they don't know much about, they should be frank to their parents.

Cyber bullying, in its worst form, has led to debacles and suicides. They have even made murderers and terrorists out of kids. Turning a blind eye on the kid's online behavior is not the ideal way of showing that you care. Teach your kids to have propriety and discretion while chatting online. Bullies would often ask them their fears or restrictions, something they work on later. If you chance upon a host of bad video content or sex messages appearing from one particular id, report to law enforcement.

There are cyber bullying campaigns in many countries that take deft action on being reported. Post 9/11, these campaigns have become quite alert, and you should take recourse to them for your child's benefit. Teach them also to stay away from spams.
