West Sussex House Hunters Can Save On Energy Bills With Linden Homes
With most modern lifestyles consuming more energy than ever before
, Linden Homes unveiled a brand new range of innovative, energy-saving homes at Hazel Copse in the village of Hambrook, just five miles west of Chichester. Now just two of them are left for sale at the sought-after scheme. Situated in the quiet village of Hambrook, this semi-rural development is made up of just 23 select properties surrounded by mature trees and hedgerows.
The rising cost and growing consumption of electricity has hit the headlines in recent weeks, and the Energy Saving Trust says many of us have no idea just how much energy our everyday devices use - including mobile phones, computers, games consoles and televisions. In a bid to help householders reduce their energy consumption and their utility bills, keeping expenses at a manageable level, Linden Homes has integrated state-of-the-art energy-saving systems into their brand new two-, three- and four-bedroom homes at Hazel Copse.
Reducing household electricity bills
Each home at this development has specialist photovoltaic cells installed on the roof. These harness the power of the sun just like other solar panels, but are also capable of taking the light energy and converting it directly into usable electricity - that is, electricity that can be used within the home, powering energy-hungry gadgets and reducing the household energy bill.
Reducing household water waste
At the same time, Linden Homes has also found a solution for reducing the water bills. Each of the homes at Hazel Copse has a 'greywater' system installed, taking waste water from the washing machine, the dishwasher and the bath and recycling it on site, filtering it so that it can be returned through an alternative plumbing system and used to flush the toilets. As a result, householders can expect to use less fresh water, clocking up fewer units on the water meter, and lowering water bills and reducing water waste.
Selling fast
The green credentials of these new homes in West Sussex aren't their only selling points, however. Enjoying such a peaceful setting - yet with good local amenities nearby such as a primary school, a village hall, several pubs, a post office and a shop - the properties at Hazel Copse have proved popular with housebuyers in the area. Now just two remain available, including the show home, with a part exchange deal offered, subject to terms. Several well-respected secondary schools can be found in nearby Chichester and Emsworth, and for commuters the A27 links to the A3(M) for London, while the train from neighbouring Nutbourne is on the Portsmouth to Brighton line, and from Chichester station you can be at London Victoria in an hour and 40 minutes.
