Wet Room Kits Take The Pain Out Of Diy Projects
Kits are great
Kits are great. They make great presents too. As a child, there was nothing nicer than receiving a gift of one of those huge deluxe colouring kits with an enormous collection of markers or colouring pencils, and a big, fat chunky colouring book to go with it; or one of those lovely art kits with canvasses, paints, and brushes; or the jewellery making kits, design a tee shirt kit, or decorate your own piggy bank kit.
Kits contain all the goodies you need in order to assemble, create and complete a range of artistic projects, made ever more appealing by the inclusion of all the materials you need, and more, to ensure that your project can be competed on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
As you get older, the kits become more age specific, and colouring kits take on new meaning as paints and brushes become girls extensive make-up kits that contain a myriad of lipsticks, eyes shadows in a thousand shades, and blushers and bronzers, with every conceivable brush to ensure the perfect application for every skin type; while the boys plump for screwdriver sets, fishing tackle sets, car kit sets and home DIY sets.
Kits remove the necessity for hard work. Instead of having to figure out the items you need to complete a project, all the work is done for you, leaving you more time to concentrate on the task in hand. They remove the hassle and uncertainty, and once you have mastered the instruction leaflet, you simply follow the sequence of steps so your creative skills can swing into action.
The sense of satisfaction with the finished product, should result in you feeling smug and proud. Only if you follow the instructions to a tee though!
I have one of those impatient husbands who thinks he's above following instructions and skips ahead in zealous eagerness to produce his masterpiece in double quick time. Taking short cuts like this is a sure way to unmitigated disaster, and experience dictates that I preside over any new undertakings. It's a bit like being the map-reader on a long journey.
Although you are not doing the driving, the success of the trip depends entirely on the precision of the map-reader, the prospect of ending up in Timbuktu, three days later, a real possibility!
With a decision to install a new waterproof bathroom in our home, we decided to look online for wet room kits, as we had heard about them through a friend who had recently done a similar job in his own house.
We were concerned that our wooden floor would not be suitable for proper wet proofing, but wet room kits are recommended for this type of situation, and contain all the items required to establish a shower base and prepare for floor tiling, using cut to size, no more ply boarding.
It took little more than an afternoon to complete but I have to say that the finished project is certainly impressive, and it's nice to know that any mistakes that were made, (when I wasn't looking of course), are covered in a 25 year guarantee. So set aside an afternoon, and get yourself kitted out with one of the great wet room kits now available.
