There are various pros and cons associated with each of these two types of HDTVs. For example when it comes to both types of technology each perform well and offer the television viewer excellent pictures.

However, when it comes to pictures displayed on a plasma screen HDTV many individuals claim that viewing at angles is better represented. In addition, many plasma screen HDTV owners assert that the colored pictures portrayed on the screen are more consistent with less variance.

Additionally, some negative reviews of plasma screen HDTV indicate that this type of technology is more expensive that LCD technology. Also, a plasma screen HDTV typically as a shorter life span than a LCD high definition television.

On the other hand there are specific claims associated with the use of a LCD television. Some of those arguments maintain that LCD technology allows for more pixels on the screen which in turn translates into higher resolution. In addition, for the most part, LCD technology uses less power that plasma screen HDTV.
