Many of todays vehicle manufacturers provide a range of scented air fresheners for their vehicles. Gone are the days when you would hang a Christmas tree-shaped freshener from your rear view mirror as a token gesture. Todays vehicles have dedicated freshener diffusers fitted to the dashboard. These diffusers are specifically designed and positioned to distribute the chosen scent throughout the car. Using the vehicles built-in ventilation system the freshener is positioned so that its fragrance is circulated evenly throughout the car. Giving both the back and front seat passengers that smell of spring flowers, sandalwood, jasmine or any one of a range of other fragrances that are available these days, even that of a new car. These built-in air freshener dispensers often use some form of cartridge to provide the fragrance you require. Quick and easy to replace, these cartridges can simply be replaced when the old fragrance runs out, or if you fancy a change of scent. Dependent on the usage of the freshener, these cartridges will usually last a couple of months and cost around 10.

For those vehicles that do not offer a built in air freshener device then consider a range of fresheners that can either be mounted into the car on the dashboard for example, or a range of simple aerosol fresheners that can be simply sprayed around the interior of the car, giving a quick boost of freshness when it is required. Both options are available in a range of fragrances, are easy to use and are non-manufacturer specific, so they can be used in any make or model. So no longer does your car have to smell like a wet dog, even if you have a wet dog in it. A simple squirt of a freshener or even turning on the fan for a few seconds will transform the interior of your car from a dog kennel to a meadow on a spring day.
