Purchasing the larger quantities of the coal also allows you to be able to purchase the coal less frequently and not have to worry about it nearly as often. The coal bunkers are a great resource for your long term emergency preparedness plan. If you experience long spans of cold weather the coal suppliers would probably run out of coal and not have it available for sale. When you have your own storage container full of coal you can get by for extended periods of time and still keep you and your family warm. This can be a real asset to your emergency plan as keeping warm would be a necessity in winter months.
