The difference between a boring video and an interesting and engaging video, apart from the content, is also the way it is edited, and 'put together'. Many first time video editors create a simple, head and shoulders informational video. Now, on the one hand, there is nothing wrong with that, but for an engaging video, there are numerous options, to make it more interesting and engaging. Naturally, there is no hard and fast rule about this, but remember, that some people are visual, others are readers, and still others, are auditory, in their learning style. My point here is to help you ensure your videos are as helpful, to as many people as possible. This way, you will 'capture' the greatest market. Equally, when it comes to making an impact, you can also modify the types of text font you use, to highlight a point, in terms of bold, italic, or a special font you may wish to use. This is where you can allow your creativity to flow.
Remember it is quite likely that you will spend a substantial amount of time in the beginning working on these 'adjustments' to your videos. It is editing time well spent, to ensure the image and story are conveyed you want. I can also say with relative confidence that it does get easier, as long as you practice regularly and work at it. Good video editing and creation is a skill like any other, and you will get out of it what you put in.
