Many people will probably have bought something online before and had it sent to them via courier

, and practically everyone recognises that courier delivery is fast, reliable and generally of a higher standard than that of other posting methods. This, however, doesnt mean that everyone has switched over to using a courier rather than sending mail through the Post Office, although they should.

There is one main reason for this, and it is that a lot of people dont actually realise that they can use a courier for general parcels and other items. It is a common misconception that only businesses are able to use couriers or that having something sent via courier isnt worth it as there is already a more commonly known delivery method available. If you consider the great savings you could make with a courier though, you will see that you are practically wasting money by sending through slower and less consistent parcel companies.

When you send a parcel through the Royal Mail you will have to pay extra if you want to get services such as parcel tracking and compensation cover, but with a courier these features are included as standard, so you dont have to pay a single penny extra to get the benefit of them. This is already a great advantage for couriers but, even better, is the fact that their postage rates are actually incredibly reasonable, if not very similar to those found down at the Post Office. If what you are sending is especially large, you could actually find that you save money when you post with a courier. You can send much heavier and bigger parcels with couriers, as their postage limits are a lot more relaxed when compared to others. This can be incredibly helpful when you need to get an overly large item from A to B without overspending.

While your parcel is in transit with a courier you will be able to track it, so that you can see how long it will take to reach its destination. This can really help to ease your mind when you are sending anything that is fragile or reasonably pricey, as you will undoubtedly want to know that your parcel is well on its way to its recipient.

There is nothing worse than paying money on sending a parcel that is then lost in the post, delivered late or arrives damaged, but with a courier you definitely wont experience this.
